Who We Are
Harvest NOLA is the creative force behind Tremé’s recent pop-up, Café Calas. Harvest is a community based, locally run, food justice organization involved in farmers markets, food centered education, pop-up markets and more. In presenting the delicious ‘Calas’, Harvest offers visitors a chance to taste a sweet historical treat, and iconic legacy dish originally created by enslaved and free people of color.
Café Calas satellite pop-up is located at 1417-1418 Gov. Nicholls St in the New Orleans African American Museum, right in the heart of the Tremé. We serve delicious Calas and coffee Thursdays to Sundays from 11am to 4pm.
Come join us for a taste of local hospitality, music, a delightful atmosphere and to learn a little more about this street food turned cultural legacy.
